HISTORY
Badges have been in history for a longer period of time. Initially they had been used to give a marking to personnel rank in military and later were used in government offices to identify the rank of the officers. Badges became the most prominent thing for collectors and were stored by people in different parts of world. In UK the badge collection group has been in existence since 1980. In the military, badges are often used to denote qualifications received through military training. Similarly, scouting organizations use them to show group membership and rank. Differnet types of badges have been introduced through the times. From badges of fame to badges of shame and campaign badges all have made it presence during the last century. Schools in many parts of world use special badges for each of their student and even political party's issue these badges to their activist in promotional campaigns. |
